Prof. Rebekah Clements will deliver a talk at the workshop Early Modern Kyūshū: A Regional Crossroads of Knowledge, Trade, and Production, 9-10 September 2022 hosted online by the East Asian Civilizations Research Centre (CRCAO). The talk, “Foreigners and the Consolidation of Power in Satsuma Domain During the Seventeenth-Eighteenth Centuries” will take place on 10 September. Further details of the program may be found here.
